Erki brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from his extensive background in the cleantech sector. He has been a key player in the Estonian cleantech ecosystem since its inception. From 2017 to 2023, he served as the CEO of Cleantech Estonia, the historical sector support organization which the Estonian Cleantech Association grew out of. He has also led the pan-Baltic initiative Cleantech for Baltics and is a co-founder of Beamline, Estonia's leading cleantech-focused accelerator. Since 2023, Erki has been working as the General Partner at Sunly Future Ventures, a pre-seed cleantech fund.
Erki expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I am deeply honoured to serve as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at the Estonian Cleantech Association. This role presents a unique opportunity to champion innovative solutions that address our most pressing environmental challenges. Together, we will advance Estonia's leadership in the cleantech sector and foster a sustainable, resilient future for generations to come."
In May, the association held its first General Assembly meeting, during which ten board members were elected: Taavi Veskimägi, Erki Ani, Helery Pops, Jana Budkovskaja, Teele Niidas, Katrin Isotamm, Helen Sooväli-Sepping, Hedwig Meidra, Ants Vill, and Jorma Piir.
We are confident that under Erki's leadership, the Estonian Cleantech Association will continue to drive impactful initiatives and support the growth of the cleantech sector in Estonia and beyond.
